Perfect match

Finally nice June weather is here, it was about 70 yesterday. I am so glad I had a day off, Ari and I took a long walk, chased deer, played and ran around in the back yard. He was totally pooped.
Here's tired Ari listening to me singing after we got back. I think he appreciates it (he would be the only one, so I appreciate it back.)
As I am looking at this picture, I am thinking how originally we were not going to get a Rhodesian Ridgeback, but a Black Russian Terrier puppy from a breeder in upstate New York, Blackberry BRT. Her dog Extravaganza had puppies from a super champion BRT Giant (Russian Champion, Estonian Champion, Latvian Champion, Belorussian Champion, candidate to National Club Championship) and so on.......
It was arranged for him to fly here to sire the puppies, but he did not fit into the largest crate, so his sperm flew instead. That union produced 3 puppies, out of which only 2 show quality males were available. We were not at the time seriously considering showing the puppy, so the deal fell through.
As I am looking at the picture though, I can definitely see that getting Rhodesian Ridgeback was the right choice - his color is a perfect match to the color scheme of our leaving room :)))  Yay!
